Partner | Communication Design
Vicky leads communication design and storytelling at gravity. She loves bold design choices and prefers to think big, the result of which have been numerous award-winning designs.
Before co-founding gravity, she worked as graphic and communication designer at IDEO, ligalux, and fischerAppelt. Vicky holds a diploma in New Media/Intermedia from Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Kiel and a vocational diploma as design assistant in Media and Communication.
Partner | Strategy
Judith leads strategy at gravity. She is acting as managing director. She loves pushing the boundaries of what is possible and enjoys cracking tough challenges – while not forgetting that hard work needs to be balanced by great fun.
Before co-founding gravity, she worked as human factors specialist and project manager at IDEO. Judith holds a master’s degree in Chinese Studies and Economics from Heidelberg University.
Trend Forecasting and Brand
Driven by creativity and curiosity alike, she plays out her passion for future perspectives and trends in inspirational design and intriguing brand identities.
Before joining gravity, Kat worked in brand management for the fashion and cosmetics industry for eight years before moving to Los Angeles and starting her own trend forecasting agency.
She holds a master’s degree in Trend Forecasting from Polimoda, Florence.
Design Research
Chau Hop works as a design researcher and service designer at gravity. She loves helping teams understand their users, which made her an evangelist advocating first-hand field experience in innovation projects.
Before joining gravity, she worked as a user researcher at design consultancies Fluid and IXDS. Chau Hop has a background in Marketing Communications and holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Chinese Studies from the University of Tübingen.
Design Research & Architecture
Cary Siress is a design researcher at gravity. With a master’s degree from Columbia University and a PhD from ETH Zurich, he is an architect and urban designer who has worked as a design professor at universities and research institutions in Europe and Asia.
His research on the role of globalized capitalism in driving uneven planetary urbanization was recently published in the co-authored book Mirroring Effects: Tales of Territory (Ruby Press, Berlin, 2019). He brings his love of design to gravity with eager commitment to working with others to make constructive change in how the world is made and lived.
Design Research
Kinsey has a background in visual design, design management, and cultural anthropology. Originally from the U.S. where she did her bachelor’s studies at University of California, Davis, she has been living and working in Germany for several years since getting her M.A. in Design Management from Hochschule Macromedia Munich.
From her design and management side, she is well versed in conducting design, UX, and market research in order to build strategic recommendations for brands. From the anthropology side, she is trained to conduct ethnographic research that is unbiased, open-minded, and empathetic- especially when dealing with cultures that are so vastly different from her own.
